Muzi Shili is a South African dancer, choreographer, and movement facilitator from Tembisa in the East Rand. Born during the era of apartheid, he draws on resilience, cultural identity, and the transformative power of movement in his artistic journey. He is a professionally trained artist through Moving Into Dance Mophatong, one of South Africa’s leading contemporary and Afrofusion dance institutions, known for blending African ritual, music, and contemporary performance practices. With over a decade of experience as a performer, teacher, choreographer, and facilitator, Muzi has worked both nationally and internationally, contributing to acclaimed productions and collaborative works. Award-recognised choreographic work at the FNB Dance Umbrella Festival. His artistic voice draws strongly on African contemporary expression, rhythm, and storytelling.
